OUT OF SPACE

In the vast, barren mountains of Morocco, where the horizon stretches endlessly, a striking object rises: the stage for Under the Desert Stars, a two-day electronic festival by Isotope and Tikita. This is no ordinary structure — it’s a masterpiece of spatial design that both harmonises with and stands in stark contrast to the wild beauty of its surroundings.

Inspired by the organic curves of the desert, we shaped the podium into a triangular form—a deliberate break from tradition, inviting reflection on the delicate relationship between humanity and nature. As the sole object in this vast wilderness, the stage commands attention, a beacon of creativity in the raw, untamed landscape.

This design isn’t just aesthetic — it’s purposeful. Every element is meticulously crafted to enhance the festival experience. The triangular structure creates a visual spectacle while also delivering exceptional acoustics, allowing music to resonate deep into the desert without disturbing its natural rhythm.

Working with our team in the Netherlands, we brought this bold vision to life under the scorching Moroccan sun. It was a challenge we embraced wholeheartedly, knowing the result would offer festival-goers an unforgettable experience. Each board and bolt represents a fusion of human ingenuity and untouched nature.

More than just a stage, this space is a symbol of boundless imagination and cultural exchange, uniting people from across the world in a shared celebration of art and music, set against the majestic backdrop of the Moroccan desert.
