Schemerlicht – Listening posts
The Narrative of Schemerlicht Festival.
During the Schemerlicht Festival, narrative plays a central role. This year, the theme forms a thread that takes you around the grounds and invites you to look at and think about art in different ways. The narrative weaves through the festival, encouraging visitors to discover their own interpretations.
For this edition, in collaboration with Studio Zalán Szakács, we have designed a special series of listening posts that further bring the narrative to life. Inspired by earlier weather balloons, which extracted information from the sky, and the iconic lunar lander ‘the Eagle’, the design of the listening poles was born.
These impressive structures are three metres high and stand on sturdy foundation screws. At the top is a unique four-part circle, in which an inflatable sphere with RGBW LED lighting is placed. A speaker is installed on the ground, which plays the story of the festival. Together, these elements create an immersive experience that invites you to look further and listen to the art and the story behind it.
We invite you to immerse yourself in this unique narrative and experience art in a new way during the Schemerlicht Festival.
