Zero BPM
The essence of sitting still. Zero BPM is an audio-visual and meditation experience.
The concept behind ZERØ BPM is simple yet profound: to slow our heartbeats and provide a much-needed counterbalance to the relentless pace of modern life. Renowned techno artists such as Jeans, Woody92, Luna Ludmila, Mirella Kroes, and Shoal—who usually energise the dance floor with high-energy beats—will take a different approach, inviting participants on a meditative journey through deep, introspective soundscapes and ambient music.
Visitors are immersed in a multi-sensory experience where ambient soundscapes blend seamlessly with performance rituals. Bruno Sitton will guide guests through the event with periodic meditative instructions, encouraging movements and breathing exercises to create a collective, synchronised experience. The result is a rare fusion of electronic music, mindfulness, and community.
The event spans 18 hours, divided into four segments, each with its own identity shaped by unique light scenography. Over these 18 hours, the atmosphere of the lighting evolves based on specific keywords.
As a starting point for the lighting design, we drew inspiration from the colours visible during sunrise and sunset. These formed a visual colour wheel, capturing the hues of dawn and dusk. This served as my guiding thread in the lighting design and storyline.
